DECテニスクラブの合宿と中国ビジネス考
Reference: Dr. Tobin's Interview (May. '03, Business English from NHK radio)
Tobin: Similar kind of problem, Yeah, Ok. Now, you've worked with Japanese people for a long time…Japanese business people. What are your impressions of Japanese business people? What are their strengths, do you think? What areas need some improvement?
Pedersen: Well, I think they're world-class business people. I think they're very solid, they have very good educational background. You know, I generally say to people, one of the reasons I've stayed in Japan is because it's probably the most high quality group of people that I've ever met and worked with…
Tobin: Wonderful.
Pedersen: …in my life. So I think the business strengths they bring to the table are consensus building, planning and executing. I mean I think of the Oedo Sen, the Line 12, that launched on the Heisei year 12, on the 12th day of December. You think about a well planned and executed project. This was one that took many years, but they executed it on time…a very high quality product.
